Yoga Instructor, Jen Black recently moved to Auburn from the Bay Area, but is originally from Sacramento, so we won’t hold this against her! She has been practicing yoga for 20 years and has embraced a slower form of yoga, hoping to include those that “aren’t good at yoga.”
She has practiced Iyengar, Ashtanga, and various types of flow yoga and sees value in just about every kind. Most recently she has been exploring Barre, which includes many yoga postures, but takes the Ohms out. She believes in pushing yourself to achieve while listening to your body in order to enjoy yourself and avoid injury. She spends her days trying to get her 3-year-old son into yoga without much success, but with a lot of testing of her yoga breath work.
