Member on Fire for September 2017 Larry Cohen

Larry joined the Auburn Fit1 family in March of this year. He recently retired and was looking for a fitness facility. We are so pleased to have Larry as a member. You would think he has been here since our opening! Larry tries to work out five days a week – rarely, does he find the time to do more, and often he gets side-tracked and will do less, but he always aims for five! Larry mixes cardio and weights most days, but tries to have at least one day of pure cardio, which helps him with his backpacking (carrying 35 pounds on his back for 10 or more miles a day). Member on Fire for August 2017 Tony Hinds

On January 21st of this year, while moving to our new home, I slipped and fell out of a truck and shattered my left knee (splitting both my tibia and fibula). They also informed me that I might need a total replacement and sooner rather than later. When I was finally released from the hospital and could put partial weight on my leg, I grabbed my walker and hobbled over to...

Member on Fire Derek Helms Derek Helms has been a member of Auburn Fit1 since 2013.   It has been amazing to watch his workout technique and the progress that he has made over the past four years. Derek works out 6-7 days per week. He performs a push-pull-leg routine.  This routine enables him to train every muscle group twice per week while allowing enough time to recover between workouts.  He runs three days per week to keep up his cardio, which he also finds to be a good stress reliever. Derek would like to continue to increase his progress over the next few years,...
