Barre and Reformer Pilates
We recently opened up a new Pilates studio, with the help of Completely Fit 4 Life, and are now offering Barre and Reformer classes. Both of these classes are an hour long and have different approaches to Pilates.
Barre classes mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training. In this course, you will complete moves that are choreographed to motivational music. In each energizing and targeted workout, you’ll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body.
Pilates Reformer will strengthen your core, increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and improve your breathing. Pilates Reformer requires proper form and technique. Proper positioning starts within the core. By conditioning your core muscles, they will contract with all movements to stabilize and align your spine. Pilates Reformer workouts will improve your spinal alignment, which will improve your posture. With improved alignment, your muscles will strengthen to improve spinal support and stability which will improve your posture which will lengthen your joints giving you a taller appearance. Pilates Reformer also requires your muscle groups to move through a full range of motion which will improve your flexibility and decrease strain and stress on your joints and muscles. You can perform everyday movements with less strain and fatigue. Pilates workouts emphasize proper breathing which will result in improved relaxation, increased lung capacity and breathing efficiency during workouts and at rest. Your lungs will be better equipped to supply your body with increased oxygen during a workout, and your energy levels will increase during exercise and at rest.
