Class to Notice for July 2019
We are pleased to announce that our Qigong Teacher, David Mitchell, will be back on Mondays at 8:30 AM for the Qigong class starting on Monday, July 8, 2019, at 8:30 AM.
Qigong is the integration of physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intentions. Qigong is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. Gong, pronounced gung, means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice.
In this fifty-five minute class, we will practice posture (while moving and stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus. The gentle, rhythmic movement of Qigong reduces stress, builds stamina, increases vitality, and enhances the immune system. All age and fitness levels are encouraged to attend this class.
