Join David Mitchell on Monday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. for an hour long Qigong class. Qigong is made up of two Chinese words. Qi, pronounced chee, is usually translated to mean the life force or vital energy that flows through all things in the universe. Gong, pronounced gung, means accomplishment or skill that is cultivated through steady practice.
In this one-hour class, David will practice posture (while moving and stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus. The gentle, rhythmic movement of Qigong reduces stress, builds stamina, increases vitality and enhances the immune system. All age and fitness levels are encouraged to attend this class.
If you are interested, David is also available for private or small group Qigong trainings. Please contact the Auburn Fit1 office for further information.
