Cybex Lat Pulldown

The lat pulldown is a compound exercise that works the muscles of the back, particularly the latissimus dorsi. Several other muscles are engaged when performing this movement, making this a staple in many strength training routines.

 

 

  • Adjust the seat height so shoulders are aligned with the shoulder height decal
  • Adjust the thigh pad for stabilization during exercise
  • Grasp handles and sit with thighs under pad
    • There are two grips, an overhand grip or inside grip
  • Pull handles down until elbows are by your sides and hands are approximately level with shoulders
  • Extend the arms to return
  • To advance this movement; while pushing the handles outward, pull down until your elbows are by your sides and your hands are approximately level with your shoulders
