Zumba is a fitness class that just keeps you going. If you’ve “Zumba’d” before, you know why—it’s simply a fun and addictive workout.

The Latin-inspired music and dance moves that are the signature style of this dance class can really pack a class and Auburn Fit1 is proud to have five Zumba classes every week:

Monday: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM

Tuesday: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM

Thursday: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Saturday: 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

When you participate in one of our Zumba classes you can expect more than a workout. The upbeat nature of Zumba will leave you feeling happy and energized. There’s a lot of positive energy circling around in the class and our members always leave feeling recharged. And, yes, you may stumble or mess up a dance move, but you just have to laugh at yourself—it’s really all about just moving, not mastering any complex choreography! For each song you’ll be taught a few steps (usually 4 or 5) that are then repeated throughout the rest of the song.

The only thing you need before coming to one of our Zumba classes is a willingness to have fun and lose yourself to the music.

Attending Zumba classes regularly will:

  • Help you burn calories and slim down

  • Tighten your core (the Latin moves target the abdominals)

  • Improve your aerobic endurance

  • Increase stamina

  • Increase bone density

  • Improve your balance and muscle tone

  • Lower blood pressure

The Zumba classes offered at AuburnFit1 are low-impact and safe for all levels (steps can be modified). Many of the steps involve twisting and pivoting so be sure to let our instructor know beforehand if you have any low back or knees issues so she can show you modifications.
