Back in 2010, Babette walked into a gym to get back into shape. She started looking at the classes, but had never heard of Zumba. She decided to try it and was hooked by her first class! She loved the different styles of dance, the variety of music, and the clothing with vibrant colors and tassels. She could not wait to go back to her next class.  Soon, she found herself seeking out other Zumba classes and instructors. But that still was not enough.

Babette has now been a Zumba Instructor since January 2011. In January, 2014, she got certified in Zumba Kids. Her goal is to volunteer at local hospitals and teach Zumba to patients. This June, she is planning on getting certified in Zumba Step!

She has this to say about her Zumba journey, “Now, I teach three classes a week, and I love my students. It feels great when I hear them say that they follow my classes because they love my music, my variety of dances, and my vibrant clothing! A full circle moment!”

Babette has been married to her husband Tony for 28 years. She has three children, two granddaughters, and lives in Roseville. She holds a BA in Communication Studies.
