The idea with an assisted TRX pull-up is to practice doing pull-ups with assistance.

  • Start by pulling the straps of the TRX chest high.
  • Hold the handles and sit straight down like in a chair. In this position you can use your legs as much as needed to help you pull-up.
  • Face your palms forward and you pull yourself up with wide arms and hands. The wider you can pull up the more Lat engagement.
  • Don’t stand up all the way. Pulling your elbows to about shoulder height is as high as you should pull-up.

Dee enjoys the TRX for pull-ups because performing any exercise with these suspension straps targets the entire core.
